Ruggable and Goop Just Launched a Calm and Cool Rug Collection

We love Ruggable at The Spruce, and their newest collaboration is one we’re certainly shopping. Gwyneth Paltrow’s ease-breezy wellness company, goop, just teamed up with the washable rug brand to release a new line of neutral rugs with an effortlessly cool aesthetic.

Naturally, when we heard that the beloved wellness and lifestyle company is partnering with Ruggable for a new line, our interest was immediately piqued. Now, after seeing the rugs, we can’t wait to bring them all into our spaces. 

“Our hope is that these luxurious, washable rugs live in your mind as part of your most special memories for years to come,” Paltrow tells The Spruce.

Making Home Your Sanctuary

As a major and well-known proponent of self-care, it’s no surprise to learn that both Paltrow and goop are focused on promoting the idea that our homes are our sanctuaries. Alongside Ruggable, this is even more easily achieved.

“A well-loved home is a backdrop for our most special memories: playing with our children on the floor, a boisterous dinner party with old friends, a rare quiet moment curled up with a book,” Paltrow says.

It’s clear in the design that Ruggable’s latest collaboration perfectly encapsulates this idea. Each rug by Paltrow is intended to evoke softness, warmth, and luxury. Paired with Ruggable’s renowned washable rug concept, the entire collection is as functional as it is stylish. 

How the Versatile, Easy Color Palettes Came to Be

With Paltrow’s California-cool style at its core, the line also boasts a soft and soothing color palette of beige, gray, blue, and green. This range of choices makes each rug easy to work into any space—as well as any room in the house. 

“The subtle and versatile designs allow for effortless styling around the home—whether it be a cozy piece in a bedroom, luxurious centerpiece for a living space, or moment of peace in a busy hallway,” says Cassandra Leisz, senior creative director of Ruggable. 

It’s Simple, Relaxing, and Decadent

As a wellness brand, goop’s goal is to help people elevate their everyday life into something decadent and relaxing. By partnership with Ruggable, the brand is only furthering this idea—and, best of all, it’s something the whole family can enjoy.

“For Ruggable x goop, we leaned into precious moments, blurring form and function to create an elevated collection of organic neutrals with motifs and textures lifted from our travels,” Paltrow says. 

The collection features eight rugs with Spanish revival and Indian Dhurrie influences, and are available in flatwoven, tufted, and re-jute textures.

Versatility and Functionality are Key

With so many options, there’s truly something for every home, though the variety of colors, patterns, and textures was used with particular aesthetics in mind.

Leisz says organic modern, coastal Mediterranean, and warm contemporary aesthetics were the collaboration’s original muses, but the rugs are certainly not limited to those room styles alone.

“The simple yet beautiful patterns would work well with a variety of different design styles and interiors,” Leisz says.

In practice, it’s more in how you use the different design styles. Leisz suggests assessing both the designs and your space before deciding. She says you can either use them to soften up light and airy rooms or, if needed, to add contrast to a dark and moody space. 

“The subtle patterns also mean that these rugs are perfect, grounding neutrals for a wide variety of accent colors,” Leisz adds.

She also suggests pairing the designs based on your emotional goal for your space. Alongside deep or vibrant tones, you’ll achieve a bolder look. But leaning toward soft pinks, sage green, and natural blue hues will create something calmer.

Whichever design or combination you choose, however, this collection has one clear mission in mind: to enhance a home you love.
