- Girl Scout Raspberry Rally cookies are so in-demand that resellers are listing boxes on eBay at a significant upcharge.
- The new online-only exclusive debuted this year to much anticipation.
- A Girl Scouts spokesperson did not provide information about a possible restock.
Forget exclusive sneaker and handbag drops — the hottest commodity on the street right now is the Raspberry Rally Girl Scout cookie.
After troops ran out of the cookie flavor within hours of their debut, the online-only exclusive cookies started selling for upwards of $100 on eBay as resellers sought a profit from overwhelming demand for the treat. The cookies, which normally retail for $5 a box, feature thin, crispy raspberry-flavored cookies in a chocolate coating.
Online sales of the cookies began at the end of February and in early March, with many local troops selling out of Raspberry Rally rapidly in digital stores. Though select troops appear to still have the cookie in stock — including New York City’s Troop 6000, a group created for young girls in city shelters — many indicate that they’ve sold out.
A spokesperson for Girl Scouts of the USA told Insider the cookies have “been extremely popular” and are “sold out online,” but did not provide details about a possible restock.
“We encourage cookie customers to find a local booth to try different flavors if their first choice isn’t available, or donate to their local council’s cookie donation program to support the largest girl-led entrepreneurship program in the world,” the spokesperson said.
In a separate statement to CNN, the organization said it was “disappointed” that the cookies are being resold on third-party platforms like eBay.
“When cookies are purchased through a third-party seller, Girl Scout troops are deprived of proceeds that fund critical programming throughout the year,” a Girl Scouts spokesperson told CNN.
Still, that hasn’t stopped people desperate for the cookies to crowdsource on Twitter and Facebook groups in search of boxes of Raspberry Rallys.

For now, it looks like sweet tooths hoping to get their hands on the cookies may have to shell out big bucks, as eBay price listings continue to creep upward. And while it remains unclear if local troops will receive more boxes of Raspberry Rallys, the Girl Scouts spokesperson encouraged fans to keep buying.
“We like to remind all cookie customers that the proceeds stay local and are critical to fund troops’ activities throughout the year,” the spokesperson said. “Participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program gives girls the opportunity to not only learn the valuable life skills of goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics, but to gain confidence and make new lifelong friends.”
