Who we are

Love4shopping ("we", "us") operates love4shopping.com and is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at any time at contact@love4shopping.com.

The short version

• You can browse Love4shopping without creating an account.
• We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Our visit statistics are cookie-free and anonymous.
• We don't sell your personal data.
• When you click through to Amazon, Amazon's own privacy notice applies on their site.

What we collect and why

Visit statistics

To understand which pages are useful, we count page views without cookies. For each page view we record: the page address (without any query details), the website that linked to us (just its domain, for example google.com), any campaign tag in the link, a general device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), your country (from your internet connection), and the time. To count unique visits, we create a one-way code from your IP address and browser, combined with a secret that changes every day. We don't store your IP address, the code can't be reversed, and it can't be used to recognise you on another day. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we don't count your visit. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Affiliate click statistics

When you click a link to Amazon, we record which product and category was clicked, which page and placement it was on, the time, and a general device type. We do not record your IP address, a cookie identifier or anything that identifies you. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Product finder

When you use the product finder, we record the type of search (typed or questionnaire), the product category we identified, the number of results and whether AI assistance was used. We do not store the text you type.

AI assistance is not currently switched on. If we enable it in future, the text you type would be sent to our AI provider to help interpret your request, and we will update this policy before that happens.

Contacting us

If you email us, we use your email address and message to reply. We keep correspondence for up to 24 months unless we need it longer for legal reasons. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.) processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver the website and keep it secure. These logs are kept for a limited period under Netlify's own policies.

Who we share data with

• Hosting: Netlify, Inc.
• Database: Supabase Inc. (stores the anonymous statistics above and administrator accounts)

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise them, contact contact@love4shopping.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
