Before that, starting with 2000 the business launched several fragrances as high-class series available exclusively in Prada boutiques. Prada by Prada is an oriental fragrance based on amber the powerful accord of which imbues the entire configuration. Prada is a very modern variant of the classic fragrance. In the composition amber is surrounded by four main essences (essential oils): Indian sandalwood, Indonesian patchouli, French labdanum resin, and Siam benzoin. With obvious dominancy of amber, the highest notes are ornamented with citruses; soft flowers are appearing in the heart, while dry earthy patchouli scent united with vanilla dominates the base. Prada started life as a leather goods store in Milan, founded by brothers Fratelli and Mario Prada in 1913.
